Donation Fund Types

Gifts to the Foundation can support the UWEC Foundation's Excellence Fund, student scholarships, or particular areas or programs at UW-Eau Claire. Gifts of a $1,000 or more will be acknowledged through one or more donor recognition programs.

Contributions can be made through any of the following means:

   1. Outright contributions »
   2. Create a new endowed fund »
   3. Gifts of stocks or bonds »
   4. Planned or future gifts »
   5. Fund matching gifts »



Contributions to the Computer Science department help us continue to provide quality programs in diverse topics. Without these contributions, we would not be where we are today. How You Can Help

The amount in parentheses indicates the annual amount required to meet current obligations:

  • The computer science department advancement fund, which provides opportunities for excellence in teaching, scholarship and community outreach (gifts of any amount).
  • Undergraduate scholarships targeted at underrepresented groups, including minorities and women ($500 annual $15,000 to endow).
  • Existing computer science scholarships (gifts of any amount). View Current CS Scholarships »
  • Student travel to and participation in regional and national computer science conferences (gifts of any amount).
  • Equipment and supplies for senior capstone projects and faculty/student collaborative research projects (gifts of any amount).
  • Student stipends for faculty/student collaborative research projects ($500 to $1,500).
  • The Computer Science Faculty Excellence Fund, which rewards faculty for excellence in teaching, scholarship and community outreach ($5,000).
  • Modest financial stipends for outstanding senior, outstanding junior, outstanding sophomore and outstanding freshman awards within the computer science department ($1,000 per year).
