Computer Science - Study Abroad

The Department of Computer Science encourages students studying Computer Science to considering including a study abroad term in their overall program. Currently, we suggest that if you are interested in studying abroad that you do so in your sophomore year, spring semester, as the CS course to be taken this semester (CS 268 or CS 278) can usually be postponed to spring of your junior year.

  • The UWEC Study Abroad Handbook has much general information for those wanting to study abroad. Be sure to look at the current version of this handbook if you are specifically wanting to study abroad in a given year and semester.

CS Courses Abroad

  • We have now found several universities that are working with UW-Eau Claire to provide computer science courses as part of a potential study abroad experience. While we don't recommend spending your entire time abroad in a CS lab, it may be worthwhile seeing how CS is taught and learning more about computer science in another country.
