Minimum credits for graduation is 120. Of the 120 total, 39 credits must be courses numbered 300 and above. In A&S, of those numbered 300 and above, 9 credits must come from 2 of the 5 GE areas. Of the 120 total, 90 credits
must come from courses in the Minimum resident GPA and total GPA of 2.0 in both major and minor Any combination of standard major and minor, or two majors, or a comprehensive major must contain 60 unique credits. |

Special Requirements: |

English Composition: Earn 5 credits in ENGL 110 with a C or better or test out of ENGL 110 or earn 4 credits for HNRS 101 RULES: any required remedial (English 099) must be successfully completed before earning 30 credits or registration will be denied. RULES: English Composition course work must be successfully completed before earning 60 credits or registration will be denied. |

Mathematics / Statistics competency: NOTE: Mathematics courses required for the major will satisfy this area. RULES: any required remedial (Math 010 and Math 020) must be successfully completed before earning 30 credits or registration will be denied. RULES: For the B.A. - Math 104, 106, 108, 109, or 246 and for the B.S.- Math 111, 112, or 113 must be successfully completed before earning 60 credits or registration will be denied. All students who have not completed B.S. Mathematics Competency (Math 111, 112, or 113) by 60 credits, will be considered BA candidates and must demonstrate competency in a foreign language at the level of a 102 course (two semesters of college work) by 60 credits. |

Foreign Language / Foreign Culture - satisfy one of the following: (a) competency at 102 level by placing into 201 or complete a 102 level foreign language course (or AIS 112 or CSD 303) with a grade of C or above or mark of S (must complete option (a) for a BA degree) or (b) successfully complete one semester study abroad or complete a combination of short term study abroad and courses designated as fulfilling option (c) below or (c) complete 9 credits of courses designated as fulfilling the foreign culture requirements RULES: Students who are not native
speakers of English may satisfy this requirement by completing the English
competency requirement for the baccalaureate degree and demonstrating
competency in their native language. |

Cultural Diversity Complete the equivalent of at
least 3 credits of content in a course or courses dealing with: African
American, Hispanic, American Indian, or Asian American (Southeast Asian). |

Service-Learning: 30 hours of approved service-learning activity. NOTE: CS 355 required for the major will satisfy this area. |
|
Wellness: 1 semester credit in wellness theory and 1 semester credit in physical activity courses. |

BA or BS - earn at least 45 credits in GE courses. No more than 10 credits from any one department may be counted toward GE requirements. Six CLEP general credits may be counted as satisfying the requirements of one subcategory in the Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities, for a maximum of 18 credits representing the three subcategories. |

NOTE: Phil 308: Ethics in Computing and Engineering (3 cr., GE IV-B) is required for the Comprehensive Computer Science major emphases and recommended for the Software Engineering emphasis as well. Areas: IVA-Arts, Art History, Music, Music Therapy, Theatre; IVB-Philosophy (excluding logic), Religious Studies; IVC-History; IVD-English literature, Foreign Language literature and civilization.; IVE-IDIS including Humanities, International Studies, Women's Studies. |

Good Academic Standing Requirements: |

Resident GPA is 2.0 or above and a GPA for the semester GPA is 2.0 or above. Remained registered for and received course grades for at least three-quarters of the total semester registration (maximum number of credits registered for after the close of the withdrawal period with no record of enrollment). |

Course Registration Restrictions: |
|
Satisfactory / Unsatisfactory courses: No more than 1 course taken on the S/U basis may be counted toward a standard major or minor. No more than two courses taken S/U may be counted toward a comprehensive major. No more than 12 credits of S/U courses will be counted toward the total for graduation. No more than 1 S/U course for degree credit may be taken in any 1 semester or summer session. S/U registration is open only to students with sophomore standing or above and
a resident GPA or 2.0 or above. |

Credit load: Registration for more than 18 credits (including audits) may be permitted by the Dean of Arts & Sciences if the student has a resident GPA of at least 3.0 and if other conditions make the overload advisable. |
|
Enrollment: Undergraduate students may enroll in courses numbered one level above their classification (freshman: fewer than 30 credits; Sophomore: 30-59; Junior: 60-89; Senior: above 9), provided they meet the stated prerequisites and classification eligibility. |
|
Repeating courses: A course may be taken only two times. Any "W" (withdrawal) of a course counts as one of the times. Only courses for which a grade of C- or below was earned may be repeated. |
