Comprehensive Major: Computer Science, Computer Engineering

(63 credits; no minor required; code 170-040)

The Computer Engineering major is a comprehensive major for those students looking to immerse themselves in computer organization and design, electronics and digital systems, microcontroller systems, and operating systems, coupled with a strong foundation in software design and engineering. The UW - Eau Claire CE major provides a unique blend of hardware design principles with software design skills including a specific emphasis on the Verilog HDL for both synthesis and verification. Advanced areas of study include computer networks, software engineering, design verification, advanced computer architecture, and VLSI design.
