For students interested in a certificate programs, the Department of Computer Science awards two certificates: "Web Design and Development" and "Computer Programmer."

The Web Design and Development certificate is awarded to students who take and pass:

  • CS 318 (IS 450 can be substituted if approved by the Department Chair)
  • CS 319
  • CS 320
  • CS 321

The only prerequisite is pre-calculus or the equivalent mathematics experience.



The Computer Programmer certificate is awarded to students who take and pass:
  • CS 145
  • CS 163
  • CS 245
  • CS 255

Again, the only prerequisite is pre-calculus or the equivalent mathematics experience.

Here is a certificate completion form you can use to request the certificate. Fill this out when you are ready to get the certificate (i.e. after completing the courses).
