Background:

After Dr. Ernst completed his PhD in 2005, he spent a year as a lecturer at The University of Michigan before joining the Computer Science Department in 2006.

Education:

  • Ph.D., The University of Michigan, Computer Science & Engineering, 2005.
  • M.S.E., The University of Michigan, Computer Science & Engineering, 2002.
  • B.S., Iowa State University, Computer Engineering, 2000.

Interests:

Dr. Ernst has research and teaching interests in computer architecture, including: efficient processor design, low-power design, dynamic instruction scheduling, fault-tolerant design, and high-performance computing.
