Background:

Prior to joining the Computer Science Department at UWEC in 1995, Dr. Tan taught in the Computer Science Department at the University of Houston. He is active in student/faculty collaborative research and is currently the department's internship coordinator.

• B.S., University of Minnesota, Computer & Information Sciences, 1983.

Interests:

Dr. Tan's research interests are in the areas of computer networks and network security, cryptography, and parallel architectures.
